Around 300 students at King’s Oak Academy attended a careers fair set up by Chemin Alam-Lloyd, Programme Leader – Business and Enterprise. Some of the biggest names in business, industry and emergency and uniform services, were among those represented at this annual careers fair.
Providing crucial information, advice and guidance, the Army, Police, Dyson, Airbus and apprenticeships were some of the wide variety of careers made available to students at this flagship event. Students from Years, 8, 10 and 11 had the chance to attend small interactive workshops to find out more about the options available to them.
The aim of this event is to help students to make more informed decisions about their future career pathways, and discover what qualifications they will need to make the next steps on their journey to the career of their choice.
Chemin said, “It was great to see so many students engaging with professionals from the world of work, raising their awareness of career routes and opportunities in a range of different industries and improving their employability skills.”
