A Hanham Woods Academy student has qualified for the BMX World Championships at the tender age of 11. Kaishu Flukes beat off fierce competition throughout the whole national BMX season to qualify in 4th place in the UK for the World Championships taking place in Texas in 2020.
Riding in the 13-14 year old Cruisers Kaishu qualified with only seven other riders in his age group. Kaishu starting competing at the age of nine, and along with his brother Senshu they have been inspired to ride by their dad who also used to compete before having to retire, due to injury.
Kasihu who will be sponsored by and racing for Gate8 Racing Team in 2020 said, “This means a lot to me, I have worked and trained hard to get to qualify for the World Championships, it would be amazing if I won!”
